Title: Red-winged Blackbirds in North York

Yesterday afternoon around 4pm and again this morning at 9am, thru all the startlings came the sound of Red-winged Blackbirds! To me. they signal the true start of spring in Toronto. I am pleased to see other people catching them now, too. It's not just my wishful thinking as the days have turned so cold again after those few warm ones.
