Title: Thickson woods

Finally got see see the great horned owl with the help of a nice couple. Not a great shot (75-300) but its a shot and its mine. Lol

Haha!  That's right.

I feel the same way about my first Snowy Owl pics, cropped to s**t and grainy as anything.  But dammit, my pictures of my first Snowy Owl.

It wont be too much longer and all those little branches will be covered with leaves and you won't be able to see them anymore.  One more picture to add to the list.

it was nice the met you today....saw you as we passed each other. Did not get chance to see he GHO today.

I was at Thickson woods on Thursday afternoon and was able to find the GHO (the first time I've been able to, colour-blindness doesn't help).  I managed to get this picture of it using my iphone and my binoculars. Makes you all want to trade in your full frame cameras and 300mm lenses, eh??

Haha so true, I get frustrated with my 300mm lens. Will have try that trick next time.
