Went looking for the Saw Whet today i think he has left as it seems people were feeding him mice and destroying his hiding place.  If you do see him again please could you post again.  Thank you.

It wasn't me who saw the Saw Whet.

I saw the Saw-Whet last Saturday... and then I read that some college students picked him up from his perch to get some photos with him in their hands. I too thought he'd left, however, I emailed a local birder who writes a column for the Durham Newspaper to ask about it, and she advised me that he was seen over the past week in that area, so she wasn't concerned about him. I looked this morning though, and did not see him - so perhaps he's just found a better hiding spot. :)
