Off in the distance I noted a large bird sitting high up in a tree and I went to investigate and through the Trees noted this Juvenile Bald Eagle resting high up in the tree and I trekked along the shoreline till I thought I was close to his perch and I snuck a peek and then focussed but the Eagle spotted me right away and flew off But I tried shooting but the tree branches kept wanting to take my focus points away thus pics not very good. Taken a few days ago (Tues Mar 12th) reposted now in this location after the ID was confirmed.

that pretty much is as beyond-a-shadow-of-a-doubt of a photo as i've seen.
not surprised to see one land. pretty sure i saw a juvie at the spit 3 years ago w/Meghan. we were too tired to go investigate. but you know a bald eagle when you see it. they are huge. and the juvies are dark.
great find.

I was driving out of Hall's lasts week when I saw that one up in a tree near Bayly on the left (west) side! It flew off as soon as I got out of the car with the camera - but I didn't know what it was til you posted this! Just that it was HUGE!! Thanks!
