Title: Beaver from Beare Wetlands in Rouge Park?
Post by: Steve Hood on March 29, 2013, 08:34:13 PM
While looking at Trumpeter Swans tonight I thought I saw this muskrat again.  I have seen him here before but this is the first time seeing him eat and come out of the water.  After seeing him out of the water and looking at his tail, it looks like a beaver's tail.  So is this a muskrat or Beaver?

Awesome!...which pond did you see him in?  I usually see him in Little Rouge Creek, the creek that passes under the main path connecting to the wetlands.

I've seen him in all of the smaller ponds over the past 2 years.  Yesterday, when he went out of the one pond he immediately went into the next pond.
