Hi everyone. So excited - haven't sighted a Trumpeter Swan at Lake Aquitaine for many years! :D Wing tagged with J76 and could see a metal band above the right foot as well.
This morning between 7:30am - 9:30am, swan is at the NW corner of the lake by the concrete barrier where there is some open water. If you don't see him/her, take a look from the dock! This beauty won't be sticking around long and will perhaps head down to Lake Ontario at some point this weekend.
I tried sending this sighting into the Wye Marsh website but kept getting an error message.
Lake Aquitaine: SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
