There's a pond as part of the neighbourhood in the Staines Road area near Old Finch and Morningside. For a habitat this small and so close to a busy neighbourhood, I was surprised at the diversity of birds in and around this pond. I went there on both Friday and Saturday and spotted a Turkey Vulture circling above, 1 Ring-Necked Duck, several Canada Geese, a Common Merganser, a Kingfisher, 2 Hooded Mergansers, many RWBB's and Grackles, 2 Mockingbirds, and a flock of about 10 Bohemian Waxwings. And this area looks like it has potential for more.
