Hi Everyone,

Here are some of the interesting things I saw over the weekend. Enjoy!

Black Cap Chickadee

American Coot - what a fun find but kind of a hideous bird ;) (found in the main pond, shot from inner island)

I think this is a Great Egret (only seen in this flyby but I think they are nesting on an island in the river)

Hooded Merganser (across the road in the protected hydro pond area)

Tundra Swans - They were very high up.

If I zoom in to 1:1 it looks like he actually has some green discolouration in the feathers from the eye to the beak. I wonder if it's from their diet.

Those are breeding colors you are seeing.
