Title: Col Sam Smith Park Saturday afternoon
Post by: Irene on April 06, 2013, 10:15:11 PM
Had a nice long leisurely walk at Col Sam's today and came across 2 Black Crowned Night Herons, a few Horned Grebes out on the lake near the point and 5 Northern Mocking Birds, yep 5, one was by the Marina singing his heart out and 4 others by the parking lot near the skating trail. They sure were making their presence known.
One of the Night Herons:

Mocker 2- Reminds me of the kids playing angry birds

Beautiful shots Irene!  I love the mockingbirds... I have my morning coffee looking at one in the front of the house for the past two years.  Congrats

Love the second one Irene,
A beauty background really adds to this one.

Thanks for the kind comments, the mocker is one of my favorites, I love the sounds they make.
