Ospreys - 2 guarding a nest, then a third osprey "intruder" got chased away by one of the nesters - on the Grand River south of Kitchener
1 - wild turkey
1- eastern phoebe at Bannister Lake
1 - great egret in a tree at Bannister Lake
lots of - mallards
lots of - geese
6 - buffelheads
12 - TV
2 - eastern bluebirds - Grass lake area
1 - eastern phoebe at grass lake
2 - Sandhill Cranes at Grass lake - nesting
1- turtle ! - type unknown - very yellow chin and throat
6 - deer
it was a fun day

Sounds like your turtle was a Blanding's Turtle. They are on the Endangered List in Ontario.

From their website I have determined it's a Blandings Turtle.
