Out and about today in the on/off rain and found this fellow swimming around in the flooded timber. A first for me. Am I right that it is a Hooded Merganser and not a Bufflehead?

Gorgeous photo of a male Hooded Merganser. I love when they tilt their heads back and let loose with a whirring sound, sounds like a running blender. :D
