Post by: cbrugman on April 13, 2013, 04:14:41 PM
Spotted a group of Ring-necked Ducks and at least one Belted Kingfisher at Oakbank Pond Park on Centre St. near Bathurst.

Around 1:30pm April 13.

I've done a lot of bird photography there in the past few years. During the summer there is almost always 1 or more GBH fishing in the pond. Good to hear the kingfisher is back :)

Update:

I think there is possibly a Lesser Scaup in this group of Ring Necks.

Any thoughts?

Yes, the one to the right in the picture is a Lesser Scaup.
