Title: Western Grebe and Harlequin Duck still at Sam Smith Park
Post by: Brian Bailey on April 20, 2013, 11:58:15 PM
At the CCFEW bird walk this morning (lead by Bob Yukich) at CSSP, we found a nice assortment of birds even though we missed a few expected ones.  Highlights included :
Western Grebe
Harlequin Duck (the same first year male that has been seen off & on for weeks)
Blue-grey Gnatcatcher
Pine Warbler
Brown Thrasher
Purple Martin

65 species in all plus an unidentified accipiter.  Miserable weather, but good birding.
