Title: Cherry Blossoms @ High Park, Toronto
Post by: Trillian Flummox on April 25, 2013, 02:43:22 PM
It's almost time!  Just a quick heads-up for those who enjoy viewing the Sakura trees.  The official park website says this: "The buds are swelling and will almost certainly start opening on the weekend of the 27th, however, full blooming may not happen until a few days later."   Keep in mind that the blossoms only last about 7-10 days, sometimes less if the weather turns nasty.  You can find the latest updates here: http://www.highparktoronto.com/cherry-trees.php

When I can time it just right, I love to see the blossoms just after they peak when the petals start floating down. Magical.

OK, it's only 2 months late, & I may have misunderstood Kris's post, but this is the forum for off-topic rants, so...
The official web site for High Park is http://www.toronto.ca/parks/featured-parks/high-park/ (http://www.toronto.ca/parks/featured-parks/high-park/)
It has lots of links to accurate information.
Highparktoronto.com is not an official web site and even has, in the fine print, a disclaimer to that effect.
