Title: Audubon Guide apps (99 cents)
Post by: Bluffs Birder on April 26, 2013, 09:33:18 AM
If anyone is interested, all of the Audubon Guide apps are on sale right now for 99 cents.  It's in celebration of Audubon's birthday.  The sale ends April 29th.

I was just going to post that, but you beat me to it!

The bird app is by far the most polished of them and well worth picking up, but for 99ยข any of them are worth having as long as you have room. After you buy the app, you need to download the database. Most of the databases are 400 -  500MB. It adds up quickly!

The iOS versions are even bigger than the, Android ones.  I'm putting the bird app on my iPad: 908MB. The wildflower one is 1.28GB!

Thanks Walter!
I purchased the NA Birds app for my gf's I Pod.
The app is well worth it BUT the procedure for buying and downloading from the Apple store is a convoluted mess.

I was surprised to find out that the 'Reptiles and Amphibians' app is not available for my Nexus 7 tablet (Android) yet, seems strange.  I've got it on my iPhone at least.
