I saw a very cool duck at Colonel Sam Smith Park this morning - an American Wigeon x Mallard hybrid. He was originally in the inner marina but then moved to the outermost bay on the east side of the park. I'll put some pictures in the photo section soon.
It looks just like, and is presumably the same bird as this one from March 2011: http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB// ... =14&t=8410 (http://outdoorontario.net/birds/phpBB//viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8410)
This bird from February 2009 also looks very similar and may be the same one: http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo198566.htm (http://www.treknature.com/gallery/photo198566.htm)
Also February 2009: http://www.pbase.com/image/109519487 (http://www.pbase.com/image/109519487)
Possibly the same bird from outside Detroit in 2010?: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22374475@N07/4494170037/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/22374475@N07/4494170037/)
