Post by: Trillian Flummox on May 02, 2013, 04:45:58 PM
Variety is picking up at Sam's even if the numbers are still a little low. Highlights today included:

Great Crested Flycatcher (1)
Red-bellied Woodpecker (1)
Baltimore Oriole (2)
Swainson's Thrush (1)
Blue-headed Vireo (2)
Warbling Vireo (2)
Nashville Warbler (2)
Yellow Warbler (2)
Palm Warbler (4)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (2)
White-crowned Sparrow (2)

Other birders in the park reported Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Black & White Warbler and Wood Thrush  - I missed all of these  :(
Some of us also saw a flycatcher, but were unable to confirm which one!
And in case you missed David Pryor's post on Ontbird yesterday, he has also seen Cape May, Blue-winged, and Black-throated Blue Warblers  :D

Good Birding!
