Title: Prairie Warbler in the Wet Woods
Post by: paul_reeves on May 04, 2013, 01:05:29 PM
Several times yesterday on ONTBIRDS a Prairie Warbler was reported in the Wet Woods. Needless to say there were a lot of people out there today looking for it and a small group of us finally spotted it around 10:00am. I have just uploaded a couple of photos to my website for anyone that wants to see him.

Beautiful shots. So glad your perseverance paid off!  I had to leave at 9:30  :(  , but I did manage to get a Rose-breasted Grosbeak on my way out (my first of year).
So, where did you finally locate it (were we close?), and did it ever start singing?

Hi Kris.

The first time I saw it was in the area where we were looking for it. The second time is where we saw the White-eyed Vireo.
