Title: Lake Wabukayne and Plowman's Park
Post by: Bird Brain on May 05, 2013, 09:14:16 AM
Hi everyone.  I was walking at Lake Wabukayne this morning from 6:30 - 8:00am.  Sighted the following:

Belted Kingfisher x 1 - chattering up a storm!
Cardinals
Chickadees
Crows (being dived bombed by RWBB's)
Goldfinches
Grackles
House Sparrows
Mallards
Red-breasted Nuthatches
Red-winged Blackbirds
Robins
Song Sparrows
Starlings

Other:  Cottontail Rabbit.

Lake Wabukayne:  NE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Windwood Dr., behind condo and school.

On way home walking North through Plowman's Park, heard a "Cronk!", looked up to see a Great Blue Heron flying by, heading SW towards Oakville.

Plowman's Park:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Battleford Rd., behind seniors building.  Trail runs South from Battleford Rd. to Montevideo Rd.

Thanks Bob.  It was a really good morning there.  Also took a break and relaxed on a bench close to the dock for awhile - talked with a couple of people walking their dogs and a lady with a camera trying to get a photo of the Belted Kingfisher.  :)
