Just got back from a successful 1st trip to Pelee and area. Warbler numbers were not as high as other years as I was told, but this was the best selection I have see it so far for this year....and judging by the conditions this morning at Col Sam and around, a think it is fair to say there will be no large migration coming thru Toronto area this spring. If you are still looking for warblers, better get to Pelee this weekend..probably best chance of seeing any...Happy Birding

cerulean on the ground is crazy!
Yes, all the birds were having a hard time this past weekend, the best day there was Sunday and most of the warblers were down low and on the ground trying to finding whatever they could.
The Cerulean was frantically trying to find something to eat, and even hopping on my foot at one point while crossing to other side of trail....DAM those min. focus points!

great photos. cerulean and red headed pecker were great.
sad to say, but i wonder how many of the warblers will have died due to fatigue during this awful migratory week
