Title: RFI - Fall Warbler

Hello, I took the following shots at Hawk Cliff on the weekend, was hoping that someone could provide clarification on what kind of warbler it is? (My current guess is either a Pine or Blackpoll) Any insight would be appreciated.

I would go with Pine Warbler, because of the yellow throat and the back also seems unstreaked.

hi Mike, Thomas ....

hope this doesn't throw too big a spanner into the works but i'm gonna have to side with Blackpoll on this one. At least, the third picture looks like a fall Blackpoll, and I assume the first picture is of the same bird. Have to confess that the middle shot looks like an entirely different bird but then lighting in a canopy can do some funny stuff (even to the extent of that middle pic looking more like a Bay-breast). Anyway, as to the 3rd picture: slight streaking on breast sides and mantle; suggestion of pale (orangey/brown) legs/feet; white tips to remiges (see Sibley); clean white under-tail coverts and flanks (i.e. not Bay-breast); long primary projection; very strong white (as opposed to blurred and off-white) wing-bars - lots of contrast in wing.

Well, I wouldn't want to swear that all three shots are of the same bird...

At the time I took them I thought they were, but the more I look at the shots, the more  I think that at least the middle warblers is of something else then the 1st and 3rd. The three shots were taken in the span of about 15 minutes, all in the same tree, with lots of Yellow-rumped flitting around. Perhaps there was more variety then I thought.
