28 Whimbrel were reported Saturday May 25 as far as I understood (I was not around to see those). Yesterday 1 was spotted at around 11:50am and 15 minutes later another 11 flew by. Those I did see and took a few pics of.
That is as far as I know...others may have further updates. If so, please post. I'm curious to hear how the watch turned out this year.

TOC runs the official Whimbrel Watch at Sam Smith. This year it began on May 19th and will end on May 30. To date the following counts are:
19th - zero, 20th - zero, 21 - 1, 22 - 65, 23 - 299, 24 - 334, 25 - zero, 26 - today - 462.
Other shorebirds seen include Black-bellied Plover, Least Sandpiper, Ruddy Turnstone, Dunlin to name a few.
