6:45 pm tonight on the deck and I hear a strange or better term would be a new sound. I look up and see orange.
run for the camera, as usual the bird dissapears. A minute or so later Next door I hear him again. I try in vain to get the camera to focus on this guy. Is it me
or the camera most likely me.. I got a few shots of the Oriole these seem to be the best two (not pro shots by any means) and a gold finch while waiting for
the oriole to return. Not likely to happen.. Napper  all are cropped.....looks like rain, really cloudy, wishing I had f(2.8)

Nice shots :)
I took my dog for a walk this evening through the woodlot behind our house. I'm not 10 feet into the woods when I hear an unfamiliar song. Look up and 30 feet away, prefectly exposed, is only the second Oriole Ive seen in 15 years in Durham. Almost ran back to the house for my camera.

Hey
this is the first time I have ever seen one period.(oriole)......Oh I am sure they have been around but I was not aware...until now..
The goldfinches are around continously now. Last year never had one (at a feeder). this year the tree and feeder have sometimes five or six at a time..along
with a whole bunch of chirpy's . Napper
