possibly due to the low-hanging clouds, my neighbourhood chimney swifts are flying really low. they are at the tree tops (arund 50-60 ft up) and chasing one another.
East York has a good # of swifts. Pape and o'conner (3), Broadview and Danforth (6) and Danforth and Logan (3 or more)

Yes! I've been noticing a lot of activity close to the tree tops too. Sometimes they fly in pairs extremely close together like fighter jets! I wonder if this is some type of mating behavior? I've also been enjoying the sounds of the Swifts over top of my house every day now. I'm trying to monitor a nearby chimney where I've seen 3 Swifts enter (I've reported this to SwiftWatch). I've also been noticing a lot in the Beaches everytime I visit that neighbourhood.

also saw 2 bats last night at dusk.

I saw some yesterday at my parents place. They live near the intersection of Keele & Wilson and so I'm assuming that these Swifts are some of the same ones I saw at Downsview Park.
