Title: Tufted Titmouse in Grimsby
Post by: Wringer on October 26, 2007, 05:56:55 PM
My wife and I noticed 'someone new' on one of our feeders today around noon. We were pleased to see it was a Tufted Titmouse. This is a first for both of us. I just saw one but my wife saw a pair.

It (they) were coming in to both our feeders stocked with black sunflower seed. They would take one seed then disappear into the bush behind us returning soon after that for another seed. One feeder is on the edge of the bush and the other hangs off a post on our deck behind the house. We are fortunate enough to live on the edge of part of the Niagara Escarpment.

All the birds seemed quite busy feeding today in advance of the rain that started around 3:00pm. If they come back tomorrow I hope to get a picture or two.
