With all of the other great posts I hope these Grebes aren't becoming too boring.
On Tuesday afternoon on my way home from work I finally decided to drop in to Humber Bay to see the little beasties. At first I couldn't find them and the nest appeared abandoned; I was concerned that Monday's storm had caused some problems for them. I did find them, though; mom and dad had just taken them to the other side of the bridge and I spent a half hour watching them.

...about as boring as my hummingbirds! They're beautiful - keep 'em coming!

Glad to hear (and see) they made it through the storm. The nest was in a stormwater detention pond, so I expect it got a bit turbid in there and difficult to find minnows. They're growing fast, so they're obviously eating a lot. Are there still 4 chicks? (I only see 3 in your photos.)
I'm not tired of them yet. I'm still thrilled to see such an amazing year of breeding success after so many years of failed nest attempts.

Thanks Howieh and Brian.
Yes, there were four chicks there; I just didn't get a good shot of all four of them together.
Cheers.
