Title: Cambridge Birds
Post by: backyard birdin on November 01, 2007, 03:04:42 PM
Just a list of the birds I  have at my feeder and around my yard this fall.
Chipping, white throat and house sparrows usually about 30 at a time
White and red breasted Nuthatches
downy and hairy woodpeckers
juncos
cardinals
Blue Jays
Gold finches, 18 pine siskins the other day!
mourning doves
chickadees

On the trails and in the bush this year(around Cambridge) i've seen a pileated woodpecker about 20 feet away which was awesome, american woodcock, and today i saw about 8 cedar waxwing about 5 feet away feeding on berries.  I see a ton of hawks but i'm not to good with id.  I know red tails, merlin, osprey, kestrel and thats about it.
