One of my favourite birds in all his splendour.

Where was this taken? There's a small flock of cedar waxwings hanging around the pond beside the golf course at the south end of Earl Bales Park. I was there on Monday and they presented lots of great photo-ops (at least for the SX50 with the long zoom).

This was taken on the Grand River in Kitchener across from Freeport Hospital. But there have been varied small flocks all around the river in the Kitchener area the past week.
