Taken just outside the town of Coboconk all the little northern towns seem to have healthy populations again this year. It always puzzles me that the Osprey take there half eaten fish with them even when babbies are present in the nest.

Excellent shots. I never get tired of looking at Ospreys, one of my favourite birds.

We drove past it last weekend, but didn't get a chance to stop and get shots
Super terrific shots, well done.

Great series.
The last two pictures would benefit from a reduction in size, as the right part of the pictures get cut off, even when my browser is full screen.

The pictures on my computer were fine when I posted them however only the last one is too big and yet it is the roughly the same size as the others? so I deleted it easy way out I guess has been happening alot with my posts

Nice series.
Are you asking why they bring half eaten fish to the nest or take the half eaten fish away from the nest?

Apparently to birds of prey, they head is the most delicious and nutritious part.
After catching the prey the bird will rip the head off and eat it.
That is what the Osprey are doing.
With so many hungry mouths to feed he is taking the best part of the fish for himself to make sure he is well fed and healthy to keep up with the demand of fishing constantly. Then will bring the remaining part to the nest for the young.
Hope this helps.
Sorry about my earlier post, I wasn't sure if you meant the Osprey was returning with half eaten fish or leaving the nest with half eaten fish.
