Title: Killdeer and Mockingbird families
Post by: Dinusaur on July 30, 2013, 09:03:31 PM
As mentioned in the reports post, here are some pictures of the respective families. Enjoy.

Killdeer mother standing guard all day long in the heat of the sun. I have once seen her partner flying in, whether to provide food to her or take turn not sure.

One of her chicks on July 12.

Presumably the same chick on July 26, showing off her newly developed wings. Still can't fly though.

Mockingbird mother keeping an eye on me.

And her chick - not sure what that orange growth under the eye is.
