Went to Lord Ross park in the morning, saw a Kingfisher fishing from a branch of a tree very far away. Also saw a bunch of Blue Heron, sandpipers, cedar waxwing, woodpecker etc. Went back in the afternoon to see the Kingfisher up close. Alas, no show. Too many people around the pond fishing; that may be the reason. However, two ospreys (I think that's what they are) showed up; one is banded. They stayed for a while, did a couple of dive to water, couldn't tell if they got any fish. I have a picture that shows one of them did catch a big one, however, it was too heavy and let go at the end.
