Title: Merlin
Post by: cairnstone on August 15, 2013, 08:48:37 AM
A Merlin perched in a dead tree for 30 minutes last night in Carleton Park in Brampton. I did not know until now they are rare at this time of year. We found two other rarities (for the time of year) in Carleton park last night: A Yellow-bellied Flycatcher and a Broad-winged Hawk. I'll post a photo of the Merlin in the photo section.

Nice finds, seems like fall migration has started!
