Title: bird feed?
Post by: martin ahermaa on November 13, 2007, 10:01:29 AM
Can anyone suggest suppliers in downtown east area of Toronto?
Not sure about about the quality of feed sold in grocery chains.

Thanks in advance,
Martin

Your correct about grocery store bird seed. Too much corn as cheap filler that attracts pidgeons and starlings that in the end makes you buy more than the more expensive stuff and you wind up not really saving any $$ Black oil sunflower seed (Jays, Cardinals) Niger(Finches)Suet (Woodpeckers). There isn't a Wild Birds outlet in E.Toronto, there is an Etibicoke location (Dundas E. of 427). Good luck.

You can get the best bird seed at either Wildbird on Mount Pleasant or Birdwatch on Avenue Road.

The Global Pet store on Danforth sell Garden Friendly bird seed.
