Title: Sandhill Cranes spotted in the Kawarthas
Post by: cosmo3667 on August 18, 2013, 10:16:28 PM
While returning from 4 mile lake looking for Loons to photograph I thought I saw a pair of sandhill Cranes fly over the road I was on. The next morning I returned once again to the area and while driving spotted some wild turkeys in a farmers field and then once again spotted and confirmed my sightings from the night before. I found my way into the field to get a closer look and got the following pictures. Taken just outside of the Hamlet of Burnt River

Nice 'action' sequence into flight. I also like the closer pic of the Sandhill Crane who appears to being doing the 'goose step'.  :)
Very nice cosmo.
