Long shot but thought I would post this.
This morning I was at Toronto Animal Services on The East Mall in Etobicoke and saw that someone found an Orange Canary and turned it into TAS this weekend.
Maybe someone will see/hear something somewhere about someone losing such a bird? I don't have much else about it at the moment as I was there on other business and didn't think to ask anything else.

Owner is now contacting TAS.

No way? That's awesome! Would you be able to share any info, like general area where bird came from, etc? I spread this through Facebook and Twitter and many people shared it. I'd like to give them such a great update. :D

I found the person here.

Thanks! Do you know the outcome, if it was their bird?
I am stunned at how many "pet birds" are flying around the GTA lately. More Budgies have been seen from Mississauga to Oshawa.

Sorry, but didn't hear back from them.
-
No problem. I contacted them through the link. They haven't gotten the bird back yet. I don't completely understand the whole thing as I read their reply quickly before going out.
But thank you for your part in this. :)
