Really nice.
Thats the first time Ive seen bugs included like that, although its Im sure it must be pretty common, just not something we see with our eyes.

Title: Speaking of bugs...

Birding Amherst a few weeks ago, I was astounded at the number of bugs (I think gnats).  At first I thought this swarm was the exhaust from an old truck that had gone over the hill but as I drove closer I saw what it really was.... and closed the windows.

I wonder if they would be mayflies. Ever been to North Bay when they are out? wow. They are everywhere. You cant walk without stepping on them.

No they weren't mayflies but I know what you're talking about.  When there's a big mayfly hatch, your footsteps sound much 'crunchier'.  These guys were very small (slightly bigger than blackflies) and I've always assumed they were gnats.
