Title: Request: Chestnut Sided Warbler
Post by: Rotarran on September 11, 2013, 12:08:20 PM
Was really hoping to see a Chestnut Sided Warbler this year...but I know time is running out.  Any good hotspots in and around Toronto that anyone knows about before they're all gone?

Thank you

Your best bet is during breeding season, not migration, when their habitat is a little more predictable (and you can track them down by their song).   That said, they'll be moving through for a few more weeks, so I'd suggest spending time at any of the standard migrant hot spots around the city.

eBird will tell you exactly where they're being reported.

also, they look just about completely different in fall vs. spring!
