Spent some time with a BCNH and a great blue heron on the Don river by the cement water break just north of Pottery Road this afternoon. They were both feeding on small fish - the blue doing much better than the black-crowned, who was partially hidden at the edge of the river. There are some rocks at the water's edge to sit on and watch the action.
