There was a big movement of dragonflies again today along the waterfront. There were hundreds of Black Saddlebags near the RL Clark Filtration Plant this afternoon, with smaller numbers of Green Darners and a few 12-spotted skimmers.
Still very few Monarchs. In about an hour of observing various insects, I only saw about 5 or 6 Monarchs. The other obvious butterfly were a couple of Mourning Cloaks. I don't often see them along the shore so thinking they may be migrants as well(?)

I saw a couple of Monarchs migrating on Saturday too, but nothing like the numbes in the past. Worrisome.
