Title: Sam Smith Park This Morning
Post by: Brian Bailey on May 13, 2006, 12:10:56 PM
The birding was slower this morning than you hope for in the middle of May, but warblers were a lot more plentiful than last weekend.

I found 12 species of warbler at "the bowl" this morning.  That was the only place I found with significant warbler activity.  Best birds were Parula and Tennessee.  Yellow-rumps were by far the most common species.

Other birds were generally scarce.   I found just one vireo (Warbling), one empidonax flycatcher (probably Least), and no thrushes at all.
