Strange wind today. Weather office said NE all morning but the clouds were moving in from the southeast. Nonetheless, a few dozen raptors still made the trek over my roof in Etobicoke today (said I was going up to clear the leaves from the gutters, but snuck my binoculars inside my jacket). About two dozen red tails, a couple of (late?) sharpies, and a juvenile golden eagle, which drifted lazily by at 12:55 p.m. I'll assume the gang at High Park saw it too, since I'm due west of Hawk Hill. My oldest son Christian spotted one on Saturday.
