Title: Lynde Shores - Snow Geese, GB Herons, and Shrike
Post by: jjmb on November 18, 2007, 10:48:43 PM
Took a quick walk around Lynde Shores on Saturday morning. Besides the hundreds of Canada Geese, I had the pleasure of getting a really good look at 2 Snow Geese. Also around were 4 GB Herons. I thought they would be long gone by now, but I guess they were on their way. Also spied a Northern Shrike, a Goshawk, a Red Tailed Hawk, tree sparrows, juncos, Blue jays, cardinals, doves. Lots of other waterfowl on the marsh and the lake, but mostly the usual suspects (Buffleheads, goldeneyes, etc). And of course, I was mobbed by the friendly chickadees.

Oh, and a beautiful stag with nice antlers.

On another note, still have a couple of goldfinches coming to my feeders, and had a visit from a Downy today.
