Last week I camped at Presqu'ile Provincial Park in hopes of seeing and photographing lots of birds. Over the week (Monday - Friday) I spotted 63 species that I could identify and I am sure there were lots more that I missed by not being in the right place at the right time or just from my lack of skill identifying them.
Black-bellied Plover

Northern Waterthrush. This was a lifer.

I also visited a friend's yard a couple of times. He has a beautiful garden that attracts lots of our feathered friends.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird

I have finally finished processing the photos and have posted them on my website. I shot a lot so I have broken the images into three pages.

I also photographed some insects and frogs and they can be found here. I am not going to try to guess the number of insects I saw, but I also saw White-tailed Deer, a distant Red Fox, Eastern Cottontail Rabbit, all three Squirrel species and of course Eastern Chipmunks. The deer, fox and bunny didn't let me get any photos and I didn't try to get shots of the squirrels or chippies.

Thanks Gary and Egret.
Monday night was brutally cold (for summer) and I woke up several times shivering. I have been camping in October and not been that cold. So Tuesday night I doubled my clothing: two pairs of socks, my "outdoor" pants with my "sleeping" track pants, and both of my jackets. I still woke up cold a couple of times but it wasn't as bad as Monday. Wednesday it was relatively normal and Thursday I was shedding the extra layers.
