Title: American white pelican in Cootes Paradise

I was told by another birder yesterday that the american white pelican was present on Hickory island and after checking the area out yesterday afternoon it was clearly visible from the bridge on Captain Cootes trail, standing at the edge of the sandy tip of the island beside several Canada geese.  I also located a wood duck near the bridge.
