Those of you who'd like to see some American Pipits, there were quite a few (about 30 or so) at Downsview Park yesterday foraging in the small farm / large garden at the south end of the park.
They are easy to pick out as they tend to fly as a flock when flushed. They're light coloured and peep noticeably. They're smaller than the Mourning Doves, but bigger than the American Goldfinches that also tend to fly around in flocks (albeit smaller) around that farmed area looking for food.
