Title: Lake Wabukayne and more
Post by: Bird Brain on October 17, 2013, 07:30:37 PM
Hi everyone.  My mom was visiting today so we went for a walk at Lake Wabukayne between about 10:30am - 12 noon.  Sighted the following:

Black Ducks
Blue Jays
Cardinals
Cooper's Hawk
Mallards
Red-breasted Nuthatches
Robins

Other:  Red Squirrel

Lake Wabukayne:  NW corner of Glen Erin Dr./Windwood Dr., behind condo and school.

On way home, walking by West end of Lake Aquitaine:

Downy Woodpeckers x 2 (females)
Sharp-shinned Hawk having a major battle with Crows for about 20 minutes!

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.
