The grey horizontal line across the frame just below the tree line is made up of 200 or more Sandhill Cranes and some Canada Geese.
Every few minutes a small flock would take flight trying to head south only to be thwarted by the strong winds forcing them to circle back and land again.
They were about 500 to 600 meters away from the edge of The Strongville Road, New Lowell.

For got to mention there were several smaller flocks of 50 or so in adjacent fields.
