It was a very cold windy day down at Cranberry Marsh this morning. Lots of Geese and Mallard Ducks sitting out on the ice. I thought I was just going home with some Chickadee and Blue Jay pictures until I spotted this little guy sitting on the hydro wires out by the road.

I was using my old Canon 40D with a Sigma 300mm. I have seen this same bird on the hydro wires along the north side of Victoria Street in Whitby several times now. Between the GO station and Lakeridge Rd. I am sure it is the same bird and it will let you get quite close now. I am not sure if it is the bird or me, but I only see him when the weather is crappy.
