At Ashbridges Bay this afternoon, a handsome male Ring-necked Duck was swimming off to the side of a very large mixed raft of ducks, along with a beautiful male Hooded Merganser. Three American Coot were in the mix, along with all sorts of regular winter ducks, in particular a large group of vocal Longtails. Gulls were sitting on the ice. Tree Sparrows, Chickadees - super friendly, Goldfinch, Robins, Cardinals - male and female. A spectacular winter afternoon. The ice makes the most amazing sounds as it forms - tinkling, crackling noises!

The Ring-necked Duck and 4 Coots are still in the marina with a mix of other ducks - very close to the boardwalk for easy viewing.
