Anyone currently shooting with a Nikon D7100 or D7000 bodies, user comments on how you like it most welcome.

I used a D7000 until May of this year when I replaced that with a D800. I found D7000 a great camera and photos came out to my satisfaction. I never did any fine tuning nor did I change most of the default settings. It produced great pictures as is; in an experienced hand it will probably produce better images. Samples are on my Flickr site - anything until May of this year was taken with a D7000. If you want to take a look start with the link below and go backward. I did consider D7100 for a while before buying the D800. D7100 is certainly a notch above D7000 with higher pixel count and low light capability. Online reviews are very positive on both cameras.

For the owners of Nikon D600 experiencing the notorious dust accumulating problem over the sensor from the shutter mechanism, a rumor together with a non-commital statement from Nikon without denying the rumor.
It would be very good news to those owning the D600 encountered this diffiuclty:

For the Nikon D600 owners, Nikon has issued a world-wide technical bulletin with offer to replace the shutter mechanism irrespective to the warranty expiry:

I shoot with a Nikon 7000 and a Sigma 150-500mm and have been quite happy with the combination. I know prime lenses are much better and would never compare the Sigma to a prime lens but I cannot afford a prime lens so it does okay. Just something else to think about.

Great sharp shots, did you need to fine tune your lense for that body?

Thanks. No, I did not need to do that. I usually shoot Shutter Priority, burst mode and use a flight brace for support as I do not use a tripod.
